We offer the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) type hair transplant. This is the most modern and commonly and well-documented type of procedure which produces the best possible outcome for the patient.
Yes – the grafts implanted will grow hair that will typically stay embedded long-term. Your surrounding pre-existing hair may fall in the future but there are many treatments to help prevent or minimise this process leaving you with the fullest / most dense outcome.
Yes, literature states >90% of the grafts implanted survive. For example, if you are having 3000 grafts implanted, at least 2700 will survive. However, we aim for perfection and try to achieve 95%+ growth of the transplanted hair
Most patients are able to have a hair transplant. Very few patients are not able to and this is usually down to a few specific medical conditions. This can be discussed at an initial consultation. If you are not deemed suitable for a transplant, you can always consider non-surgical options to encourage growth and improvement of your pre-existing/current hair.
The administration of local anaesthesia is the part which may hurt and cause discomfort. We use measures to try to minimise this by using a new device which administers needle free anaesthetic.
In short NO. However, if you would like to maintain your pre-existing hair – then there are many options available these days which will strengthen your current hair and prolong its life span.
Yes. The angulation of the incision is key in determining the natural outcome. Having performed over 2000 procedures, we are experts in this field and aim to produce the most natural looking outcome to mimic your natural growth.
Yes. However, this is dependant on your donor region(s). This can be discussed at your consultation.
Yes. We are very experienced in correcting “failed” procedures. Again, this is dependant on your donor region strength and quality but in most cases we are able to improve upon your previous procedure.
We recommend at least 3 days off post procedure. You may be advised to take more time off depending on the nature of your work. This will be discussed at your consultation.
Yes. We commonly see patients who have had previous SMP to the scalp. As long as your donor area is of a good enough quality – you are able to have the procedure.
Typically the end result is 12 months. However, new growth will develop 3+ months following the procedure. Our latest post-operative measures and healing treatments speed this process up and aid recovery and boost growth.
